Spring Safety Tips

- Replace your smoke detector batteries.
- Inspect barbeque grills prior to use. Check hoses and tanks for
leaks. Leave enough room between the grill and buildings,
trees, fences, and other objects. Never leave barbeque grills
unattended.
- Fuel landscaping equipment and other gas-powered tools
outside. Gasoline should only be stored in an approved
container, and should never be stored indoors.
- Dispose of old paint, gasoline, and oils properly. Bring them to
the Highway Department for proper disposal. NEVER pour them
down a storm drain.
- Supervise children playing outside. Helmets and proper
protective equipment should be worn when bike riding and
playing sports.
- Read labels and instructions prior to using pesticides and
fertilizer. Store in proper containers and keep proper distance
from other chemicals.
